Real Madrid Beat Borussia Dortmund 2-0 to Win Champions League

Dortmund Put up a valiant fight, but Real Madrid's experience and quality proved too much in the end.

Real Madrid beat Borussia Dortmund 2-0 in the final of the UEFA Champions League at Wembley Stadium in London on Saturday. Gareth Bale opened the scoring for Real Madrid in the 11th minute, and Cristiano Ronaldo added a second in the 64th minute to seal the victory. It was Real Madrid's 11th Champions League title, and their first since 2002.

Dortmund, who were making their first appearance in the Champions League final since 1997, put up a valiant fight, but Real Madrid's experience and quality proved too much in the end. Dortmund had several chances to score, but they were unable to find the back of the net. Real Madrid, on the other hand, were clinical in their finishing, and they took their chances when they came.

The victory was a fitting end to a remarkable season for Real Madrid. They won the La Liga title, the Copa del Rey, and the Champions League, becoming the first team to win all three major trophies in a single season since Barcelona in 2009.
