Mitrovski: Our goal is the first place in the group

North Macedonia head coach Blagoja Milevski spoke ahead of his team's UEFA Nations League clash against Georgia on Thursday.

Mitrovski: Our goal is to take the first place in the group. We respect the Georgian national team, but we will play for the victory. The team is ready for the match, and we want to continue in the same rhythm as in the previous matches.

North Macedonia is currently top of Group C4 with nine points from three games, while Georgia is third with four points. The two teams will meet at the National Arena Todor Proeski in Skopje on Thursday evening.

Milevski said that his team is well prepared for the match and that they will play for the win.

"We respect the Georgian national team, but we will play for the victory," Milevski said. "The team is ready for the match, and we want to continue in the same rhythm as in the previous matches."

North Macedonia has won their last two matches in the UEFA Nations League, against Gibraltar and Bulgaria. They will be looking to make it three wins in a row when they face Georgia on Thursday.

Georgia, meanwhile, will be looking to bounce back from their 4-0 defeat to Bulgaria in their last match. They will need to win against North Macedonia if they want to keep their chances of promotion to League B alive.

The match between North Macedonia and Georgia is scheduled to kick off at 20:45 CET on Thursday evening.
